Volunteers and Community Support
How can you help?

RSVP Volunteers
Here at Casa de Peregrinos (CdP) we're always looking for volunteers to help us out. We have opportunities for individual, group, court-order, and administrative volunteering.
Individual, Group, and Court Order Volunteering.
We often need volunteer assistance in the following areas:
- Bagging and boxing food products
- Sorting, weighing, and boxing salvage
- Various types of cleaning
- Handing out food
- Other duties as assigned
Administrative Volunteering
In order to meet client needs, we often need help with conducting client interviews. Such interviewing requires detail-oriented volunteers with computer skills, who will respect and maintain confidentiality. Interviews generally take from 1 to 10 minutes, and English and Spanish proficiency is very helpful. Volunteers receive brief training and orientation to help them feel at ease in serving clients. The volunteer coordinator assists them in their schedule as well. We ask that CdP volunteers donate at least 2 to 4 hours each week.
In addition to interviewing, we also need volunteers to help with—
- Writing thank-you letters for our donors
- Grant writing
- Microsoft Access Updates
